I bought this album because my favourite gorillaz track, 'rhinestone eyes' is on it. I hadn't heard any of the other songs on the list besides that one and 'melancholy hill' before buying it and listening to the whole thing. Now, I'm pretty sure rhinestone eyes is still my favourite, but 'somekind of nature ' and 'stylo' are really good too, they might be tied for my second favourite from this album. I have listened to the whole thing in full over and over again recently, it's a great listen for bicycle rides, I've found.
The paper sleeve case thing it came in has art on the front, the back, and one picture across the inside which is really nice. When I first saw the front cover, I hoped that the island/building on it was a physical model, but I figured it was probably just made in like blender or whatever. But no, it was actually a model! Which is really cool, I love a physical prop. I learned that from this video here by LadyEmily on YouTube. It's a pretty good watch.
The lyrics booklet/pamphlet thing that CDs have wasn't as substantial as many others I have. It was just one piece of paper folded, and there were no lyrics inside, just credits, apparently you have to go to their website to find the lyrics. But there was some great art in the booklet so I'm not complaining. The cd design itself was alright, had a submarine on I think.
